WAXING FAQS
How long does my hair have to be?
The hair being waxed should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch long, about the length of a grain of rice.
If you can easily pinch the hair, you’re ready for your next wax. We recommend coming in about every 4 weeks for Brazilian waxes, as this is right before the hair is beginning to mature again.
Everything else wax
Please let your therapist know before your treatment if you have any areas of concern or areas to avoid.
If you experience any severe discomfort during your treatment (which is outside of the expected discomfort of the hair removal procedure) let your therapist know immediately. They won't know unless you tell them!
We want you feeling great after you walk out of Lasso.. For all waxing treatments, be sure to agree to our aftercare policy once your technician has finished the appointment. We're not in the business of telling you what to do, but our experience tells us that your wax will feel best when you:
Avoid hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only) for the first 24 hours after your treatment.
Avoid saunas, hot tubs, massage or steam treatments.
Take a break from tanning (sunbathing, sun beds or fake tans) for 48 hours.
Avoid sport, gym work or other exercise (you can thank us for the excuse later!)
Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands.
Wear clean, loose-fitting clothes.
Stop using any retinol-based products 7 days before any facial waxing
What is a Brazilian and how long does it take?
A Brazilian is a bikini line wax on steroids! A Brazilian wax is the complete removal of pubic hair, from the front side and butt crack too! You decide if you want to go completely bare or if you would like to keep a small landing strip, we can do that too
LASH FAQS
Before Your Appointment
Please arrive with clean lashes. Lashes that require intense makeup removal/cleansing need additional preparation.
Should you need to cleanse your lashes, allow yourself an additional 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to cleanse them.
Refrain from caffeine for 5 hours before your appointment.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring headphones and whatever else will help you relax for your appointment. Full sets take 2-3 hours.
Aftercare
Be gentle. Do not rub or pull on your eyelash extensions.
Keep your lash lift dry for 24 hours after your appointment.
You may wash your face in the sink using a washcloth, avoiding the eye area.
Keep all oil-based products away from the eyes and remember that everything on your face will travel to the eye area. Oil WILL breakdown the adhesive and you will have premature lash extension loss.
No saunas, facials, or swimming within 24 hours of application.
Do not stick your head near the oven when baking. It may singe your extensions! Turn your head away from the oven when putting anything in or pulling anything out.
Wash your lash extensions five days a week. Apply oil-free makeup remover with your fingers rubbing gently down the lashes or you may apply oil-free makeup remover to your lashes using a disposable mascara wand or a clean soft shadow brush. Spray onto wand, brush through lashes gently, and rinse with warm water.
Do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, call us for an appointment.
Brush your lashes daily
Maintenance
Eyelash extensions fills are like touch-ups for your extensions. Performed regularly, they’ll keep your lashes looking full and luscious. You may need them more or less often depending on your aftercare, your natural lash cycle, and the style of your initial set. Typically, clients get fills every 2-3 weeks, however some clients prefer to replace their full set every 4-6 weeks. In order to qualify for a fill, you must have 40% of your lashes remaining, otherwise, you will be re-booked for a full set. It is always recommended to schedule your fills in advance. Lash lift maintenance can be done every 6-8 weeks
